Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Rotating weekends required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit will provide care for patients undergoing procedures such as hip/knee replacements and colectomies. The unit consists of 15 beds with a ratio of 1:5 patients to nurses. The EMR system utilized is MEDITECH, and equipment includes ALARIS pumps.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support to medical-surgical patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.

Required Experience

• Active RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Rhythm interpretation experience preferred.
