Night Shift, 2 shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by performing intensive respiratory care and facilitating patient transport into and out of the facility as prescribed. This role includes evaluating patients and formulating treatment plans, explaining treatment processes and equipment to patients, and providing education prior to discharge.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory and aerosol devices.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning by different methods.
• Monitor oximetry and capnography in accordance with policy.
• Review patients' chest x-rays and perform 12-lead EKGs.
• Assist with respiratory procedures such as bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care.
• Ensure proper functioning of ventilatory equipment, including set-up and maintenance.
• Record and communicate treatment information effectively with medical staff.
• Maintain accurate records of treatments and patient responses.

Required Experience

• Current and valid Respiratory Therapy license as per state regulations.
• Experience in intensive care environments preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
