Schedule/Shift

06:00 AM to 06:30 PM, working every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Job Description

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing respiratory care to patients at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a bed capacity of 383. You will work primarily in the Respiratory unit, utilizing advanced equipment such as Servo I, GE, V60, Airvo, and Vapotherm while documenting patient care through the Meditech EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory conditions and respond accordingly.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory therapies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Required Experience

• Must have current certifications in NRP or STABLE, as well as BLS and ACLS.
• 2 or more years of ICU experience preferred.
• Experience with Meditech is a plus.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• NRP or STABLE certification, BLS, and ACLS required.
