This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Shifts are from 18:00 to 06:00, with a requirement to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide care for patients in a busy Level 2 NICU, with plans to transition to a Level 3 NICU soon. The therapist will cover the Emergency Department and ICU while providing floor therapy. Familiarity with advanced respiratory equipment and Meditech EMR is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies and conduct patient assessments.
• Provide emergency care as needed in the ED and ICU.
• Deliver floor therapy services to patients as directed.
• Utilize respiratory equipment, such as PB 840/980, V60, and RapidPoint 500e blood gas analyzers.

Required Experience

• NICU experience is mandatory.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• ACLS and BLS certification required upon hire.
