Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care to patients in various settings including ICU, ER, cardiac cath lab, medical-surgical floors, PACU, and labor and delivery/nursery. This role requires experience with procedures such as tracheostomy care, brain death apnea assessments, and exercise desaturation studies. Skills in handling Servo I, Servo U, V60, AirVO2 (high flow) machines, and bubble CPAP are essential.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care treatments and therapies to patients of various age groups, including neonates and adults.
• Perform critical procedures such as intubation assists, blood gas sampling, and airway management.
• Monitor and assess patient respiratory status and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Ensure accurate charting and documentation in Meditech.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to plan and implement care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, with specific community hospital experience.
• Experience with high-risk deliveries and adult critical care.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS, BCLS, CRTT, NRP, PALS certifications required.
• Florida State License is mandatory; RRT preferred.
