Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

The schedule consists of a Night Shift from 7 PM to 7 AM on weekends, with a patient ratio of 1:7 at night.

Job Description

This position involves caring for adult and geriatric patients dealing with conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule out. You will be utilizing the Epic charting system while providing high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical/telemetry unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and management for patients with various conditions.
• Administer blood products, and manage central and peripheral lines.
• Monitor telemetry and perform dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Administer oxygen and support patients with BiPAP/CPAP as needed.
• Engage with interdisciplinary support services as required.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
• Epic charting system experience is required.
• Must have first-time traveler experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Must hold an active New York state nursing license prior to submission.
