This position requires 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical/Tele unit will provide care for adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical needs, including cardiac, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and infection management. The RN will utilize Epic for documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and monitor vital signs of patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage related issues.
• Provide peripheral line care and management.
• Implement isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management.
• Respond to rapid response team activations as necessary.
• Engage in patient education and support activities.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience in a medical-surgical or tele unit.
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current NY RN license in hand is required to apply.
• BLS certification is required.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
