This position requires night shifts with a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care and support to a diverse patient population in a Medical-Surgical unit. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RN will also be required to float to other units as needed within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with various medical conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and mental status.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Participate in rapid response teams as needed.

Required Experience

• Must have a valid New York State RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute hospital nursing experience required.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
