Day shift, 7am-7pm, 36 hours per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing patient-centered care in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. This includes assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a group of patients. The RN will play a vital role in health promotion and disease management while ensuring compliance with nursing practice standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, delegate, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
• Administer medications safely in accordance with United Health Services policies.
• Participate in resource utilization and unit productivity.
• Engage in professional development and complete mandatory education.
• Support the Nursing Shared Governance Model and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support new employees and students in a learning environment.

Required Experience

• Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing (RN) experience.
• Five plus (5) years of direct nursing experience preferred.
• Management experience of zero (0) to three (3) years is also considered.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current New York State RN License.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• Unit-specific certifications as required.
