Job Description

Join our interdisciplinary team dedicated to caring for adult and pediatric patients recovering from brain injuries, including those related to oncologic surgery, falls, strokes, and motor vehicle injuries. You will work in a brand-new, state-of-the-art unit where you will provide both clinical and emotional support to patients and their families as they navigate the journey to reclaiming their independence. If you thrive in a team-oriented environment, possess flexibility, enthusiasm, and critical thinking skills, and have a strong desire to assist patients in learning new skills, this role will be fulfilling for you. Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a supportive and encouraging environment.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to evaluate and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families on recovery processes and self-care techniques.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report changes in their condition.
• Utilize telemetry effectively to observe and manage patient heart rhythms.

Required Experience

• Two (2) years of nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience.
• Recent pediatric experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid RN License (New York only).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only).
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment Response) preferred.
