Day Shift, 3x12 Hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30).

Job Description

This Registered Nurse position is within a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The role focuses on providing specialized care to patients with diverse medical conditions, including CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) and TIAs (Transient Ischemic Attacks). The nurse will be responsible for continuous monitoring and management of patients' telemetry needs, as well as collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret telemetry data and manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer IV insulin protocols and manage feeding tube care.
• Perform continuous bladder irrigation and pre/post hemodialysis management.
• Provide care for patients with renal failure and manage IV access points.
• Administer blood products and manage central and peripheral lines.
• Start IVs and manage PICC lines, ensuring compliance with protocols.
• Perform wound care and manage surgical drains and chest tubes.
• Utilize non-invasive airway management including CPAP, BiPAP, and HFNC.
• Conduct ABG interpretations and manage oxygen therapy.

Required Experience

Two years of experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting is required. Previous charge experience is also needed.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active California RN license.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
• BLS (Basic Life Support).
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).
