Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 4x12-Hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will primarily be scheduled on Medical-Surgical (MS) 4 or 5 units but must also be competent to float to telemetry units as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience with stroke patients and be flexible, experienced, and willing to adjust to varying patient ratios and diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established protocols and patient needs.
• Float between Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as required.
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias with competency.
• Administer conscious sedation and manage patients on vents as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in MS/Tele units; first-timers accepted.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Competence in using Cerner charting system preferred.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
