Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical & Telemetry

This is a night shift position with a 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with competencies in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing. The nurse will primarily be assigned to the Medical-Surgical units and must be flexible to float to Telemetry as needed. The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient care skills and be experienced in handling a diverse range of cases, including stroke patients. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and telemetry data.
• Administer medications and perform treatment plans as per physician orders.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients to ensure patient needs are met.
• Floating between Telemetry, Medical-Surgical, and MS/Telemetry units as required.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting, preferably in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
• Experience with telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Valid state license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Candidates must have experience with stroke patients.
