Schedule/Shift

This position requires availability for an evening shift, specifically from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with 40 hours guaranteed per week.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the care, handling, and storage of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. This role involves processing goods for redistribution throughout the Medical Center and assiting Sterile Processing Specialists with various team lead duties, including competency maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Caring for, handling, and storing surgical instruments and equipment.
• Processing goods for redistribution throughout the Medical Center.
• Assisting Sterile Processing Specialists in maintaining competencies and performing team lead duties.

Required Experience

• 2+ years of recent experience as a Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) is required.
• Active HSPA certification for at least 2 years is mandatory.
• Previous travel experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active HSPA certification is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Flu vaccination is mandatory; declinations will not be approved.
• COVID vaccination is required; declinations will not be approved and must be state-recorded.
