ARMStaffing is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician, Evenings in Baltimore, Maryland.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

5x8 Evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including holidays and weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the proper cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment. This role supports trauma level I and II patient care and involves operating specialized equipment such as steam sterilizers and washers.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and devices.
• Utilize appropriate techniques for sterilization monitoring and testing.
• Prepare and maintain sterile trays and carts for surgeries.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
• Assist with the training and orientation of new staff as needed.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Experience in a Trauma Level I or II facility is required.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current certifications in CBSPD and IAHCSMM/HSPA are required.
• Valid BLS certification is required.
