ARMStaffing is looking for an OR Tech, Operating Room (Evening Shift) in Bronx, New York.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Scheduled hours are 38 hours a week, working 34.5 after breaks. The shift is from 11 AM to 9 PM and may include weekends and holidays as needed. Weekend hours are 3 PM to 11 PM.

Job Description

The OR Tech, under the supervision of the OR Manager, is a key member of the Operating Room team, collaborating with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, and support personnel in scrubbing for surgical procedures. Responsibilities include managing instruments, supplies, medications, and specimens. Once fully trained, the OR Tech will also be responsible for on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for various surgical cases, primarily Vascular and Ortho.
• Handle and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
• Assist in managing medications and specimens during procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.
• Assume call responsibilities after training.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Surgical Tech.
• Hands-on experience with Vascular and Ortho surgical cases.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification required.
• CST certification required.
