ARMStaffing is looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room (Evening Shift) in Watertown, New York.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires 8-hour evening shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Weekend, call, and holiday availability is required.

Job Description

The Certified Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in maintaining a sterile surgical environment and assisting surgeons during procedures. The candidate will function under the direct supervision of an RN, aiding in the preparation and care of surgical patients through routine and delegated duties as per the hospital and department standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sterile surgical environment and ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during various surgical procedures.
• Clean, sterilize, and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment.
• Respond efficiently to all situations that arise in the operating room.
• May be asked to precept new staff members.

Required Experience

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
• Travel experience and orthopedic experience are mandatory.
• Experience in scrubbing and utilizing Davinci surgical systems is essential.
• Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification is required.
