Schedule/Shift

3x12 Nights from 19:00 to 07:30, weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need.

Job Description

This Registered Nurse position is located in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The RN will provide care for adult and geriatric patients with a general medical focus, including pre and post-operative care. The position requires proficiency in bedside procedures such as dialysis catheter placements, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage (I&D) procedures. Nurses will utilize the Omnicell medication system and should have familiarity with EPIC for electronic charting.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy.
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Provide pre and post-operative care for post-heart catheterization procedures.
• Perform bedside procedures including dialysis catheter management, thoracentesis, and I&D.
• Follow heparin protocols and manage cardiac drips (without titration).
• Maintain effective communication with nursing and interdisciplinary teams.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing.
• At least 1 year of experience using EPIC.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
