Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (18:45 - 07:15), with weekend coverage required every other week.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Med-Surg/Telemetry team. The RN will provide care for adult and geriatric patients, focusing primarily on those with diagnoses such as stroke/TIA, seizure, and chest pain, among others. The unit is highly committed to patient experience and includes higher acuity med-surg patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients within the unit.
• Administer medications and manage complex medication regimens.
• Utilize the Omnicell medication system for accurate medication management.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Perform special procedures such as peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation as needed.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Tennessee RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Med-Surg or Telemetry setting.
• Must possess current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• 1 year of experience with the EPIC EMR system is required.
• Travel experience is required.
