Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend requirements include every other weekend.

Job Description

The Complex Medical Unit Acute Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients. The unit has a variable nurse-to-patient ratio, typically 1:6, depending on patient needs. The nurse will utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and must be skilled in passing dysrhythmia interpretation tests and medication tests during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Complex Medical Unit Acute Care.
• Manage and monitor treatment plans and patient care protocols.
• Perform nursing procedures and administer medications as prescribed.
• Document patient care and progress using Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with a typical patient ratio of 6.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification required.
• Active unencumbered RN license in Tennessee or multi-state compact license required.
