3x12 Nights, from 19:00 to 07:30, with weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need.

Job Description

Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse on the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in an adult and geriatric population. The position requires proficiency in using the Omnicell medication system and experience with EPIC documentation.

Your responsibilities will include managing patients pre and post heart catheterizations and conducting bedside procedures, such as dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision and drainage (I&D). Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients on Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Manage pre and post-operative care, including post heart catheterization.
• Perform bedside procedures such as dialysis cath placements, thoracentesis, and I&D.
• Administer medications and manage central lines and PICC lines.
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units.
• Proven experience in patient management and care delivery.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in Tennessee.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with the EPIC EMR system.
