Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30) with weekend coverage required.

Job Description

This position is within an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) that specializes in cardiac patient care. The unit manages a complex patient population, including those on ventilators and various medication drips. Candidates must be capable of multitasking and handling multiple critical care responsibilities. The documentation system used is Epic, and the daily patient census averages around 13.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients, including cardiac patients on ventilation.
• Manage and titrate multiple intravenous (IV) medication drips.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy and pharmacy.
• Implement and monitor protocols for patient care, including post-surgical recovery and hypothermia protocols.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, preferably with charge experience.
• Experience in managing patients with cardiac issues.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in Kansas or compact state.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at the time of submission.
