ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (Night Shift) in Topeka, Kansas.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires Night Shift work, specifically three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) accepts first-time travelers and has a cardiac patient population. The team manages a patient load of 2 per nurse, including the care of two ventilated patients with the multitasking required for multiple drip titrations. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory at the time of submission.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care for cardiac patients in a critical care setting.
• Monitor and titrate vasoactive drips and other medication infusions.
• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.
• Ensure adherence to hypothermia protocols and infection prevention measures.
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, preferably with charge experience.
• Experience managing dual ventilation patients.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in Kansas or a compact state.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Preferred certifications include CPI and TNCC.
