ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit (Night Shift) in Topeka, Kansas.

Schedule/Shift

This position requires night shifts, working 3 12-hour shifts per week, with weekend coverage.

Job Description

The Intensive Care Unit accepts first-time travelers and specializes in caring for cardiac patients. The RN will manage two ventilated patients simultaneously and handle multiple drip titrations. Candidates must be prepared to work some weekends, and possess key certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS at the time of submission.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of critically ill patients, including those on ventilators.
• Administer and titrate intravenous medications and drips.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and procedures.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Experience managing two or more ventilated patients simultaneously.
• Previous charge experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in Kansas or compact license required at the time of submission.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
• Preferred certifications include CPI and TNCC.
