Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients on the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit, focusing on adult and geriatric populations. Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac and pulmonary conditions, managing pain, and addressing infections and gastrointestinal issues. The nurse will work with a variety of clinical support teams, utilizing equipment such as tele monitors, EKG machines, and bladder scanners. Documentation will be performed using the Epic system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and management of dysrhythmias.
• Activate rapid response teams when necessary.
• Perform phlebotomy and IV placements as part of patient care.
• Administer oxygen via various methods and manage non-invasive airway management.
• Conduct vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience with EPIC documentation preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification required.
• Active New York RN license required at the time of submission.
