ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (Night Shift) in Anchorage, Alaska.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3x12 Night Shift with weekend coverage which may be more frequent than every other weekend based on staffing needs.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in an acute hospital setting, primarily focusing on ortho, neuro, telemetry, morbidly obese patients, bariatric surgeries, and general medical patients. The clinician may float to like units based on facility needs and should be comfortable performing a range of nursing duties, including medication administration and patient monitoring using the Epic charting system.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and vital signs.
• Provide patient education on care plans and procedures.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
• Assist with orthopedic and neurological care as needed.

Required Experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting is required. Charge experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in Alaska (license must be obtained within 48 hours of signing).
• BLS certification is required.
