Schedule/Shift

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts with weekend and call coverage required. Shifts are typically from 06:30 to 19:00.

Job Description

The CT Technologist will work in an Acute Care Medical Center/Long Term Care Facility/Outpatient setting, handling a diverse patient population including adolescents, infants, adults, and pediatrics. This role involves operating a Philips 64 slice Brilliance-CT machine and requires proficiency in various CT procedures, including contrast studies and emergency imaging. The candidate should be familiar with Epic electronic medical records and maintain best practices for radiation safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans for a variety of diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide explanation of the process.
• Administer contrast media as needed under appropriate protocols.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety and institutional standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all imaging studies performed.
• Assist in the training of new staff on imaging equipment and protocols.
• Provide support and coverage for X-ray as needed.

Required Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist is required. Travel experience is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• ARRT certification in CT (ARRT-CT) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
