Shifts are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a requirement of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in the Telemetry unit, which has a total of 23 beds. This unit is equipped with various medical technologies, including IV pumps, EKG machines, and EMR - Expanse. Nurses will play a crucial role in patient care, including administering medications, performing lab draws, and preparing patients for procedures. Daily tasks also include communication with physicians and documentation responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab draws and IV insertions.
• Administer IV fluids and medications, including antibiotics.
• Prepare patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures.
• Document patient care and monitoring in EMR - Expanse.
• Participate in daily huddles and bedside shift reports.

Required Experience

• Minimum one year of acute care experience in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or step-down units.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification is required.
• Familiarity with Expanse for admissions and discharges is essential.
