Job Description
The Surgical Telemetry Unit features a supportive department culture and is equipped with advanced medical technology, including Baxter IV pumps and Welch Allyn VS machines. Patients in this unit receive compassionate care, focusing on needs such as ambulation and wound care as necessary. The unit utilizes the Meditech EMR system and has a dedicated admission/discharge team to facilitate patient transitions.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the Surgical Telemetry Unit.
- Perform wound care and assist with ambulation of patients as needed.
- Document patient information accurately using the Meditech system.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure seamless patient transitions.
Required Experience
- 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience.
- Must be BLS certified.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BLS certification is required.
