Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care on a Medical-Surgical unit with a focus on post-surgical recovery, pain management, and the treatment of CIWA patients. The unit is equipped with Hoyer lifts, Sara Steady, and bladder scanners, and utilizes Meditech for electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a fast-paced environment with a typical patient ratio of 6:1.
• Administer medications and monitor post-surgical recovery.
• Assist with pain management and manage CIWA patients.
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Utilize and assist with equipment such as Hoyer lifts and bladder scanners.

Required Experience

• Must have a valid RN license and current BLS certification.
• Previous experience in a Med Surg or acute care setting is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas.
• Current BLS certification.
