7:00 PM to 7:00 AM; rotating weekends required.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Unit 2 North at SDGH offers a 14-bed environment focused on delivering excellent patient care. As a Registered Nurse, you will be an integral part of a team that includes 3 RNs and 1 PCT per shift, with a patient ratio of 1:5. The unit utilizes ALARIS pump and MEDITECH EMR systems to manage patient care effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Create and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy and EGD/colonoscopy as necessary.

Required Experience

• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NIHSS certification.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS and rhythm interpretation preferred.
