ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit (Night Shift) in Burlington, North Carolina.

This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
3x12 hour Night shifts, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with weekend rotation and holidays as needed. Staff are scheduled for a 6-week period using a self-assisted schedule.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit will provide care for cardiac patients, focusing on conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and arrhythmias, along with secondary support for respiratory issues. The unit consists of 30 private beds, with 24/7 care provided. Rooms are remotely monitored by the Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department. The nurse will collaborate with Nurse Assistants and an RN secretary available during daytime hours.
Responsibilities
- Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring.
- Pre and post-operative care for cardiac catheterizations.
- Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration).
- Procedural sedation administration.
- Care and management of chest tubes and tracheostomy.
- Use of rapid response teams when necessary.
Required Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit is required. Previous Charge RN experience is preferred. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license is required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- NIHSS certification is preferred.
