Day shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, with every other weekend required.
Job Description
The Progressive Care Unit at Mission Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide care for patients with neuro and trauma conditions. This 44-bed unit, supported by a staff of 95, utilizes advanced medical equipment and has a patient ratio of 4:1 at grid and 5:1 when stretched. The electronic medical record system in use is Cerner.
Responsibilities
- Perform neuro and spinal checks.
- Assist with C-Collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tube placements, PCA pumps, and IV infusions.
- Perform lumber drain and feeding tube placements as needed.
- Administer blood transfusions.
Required Experience
- Experience in neuro and trauma care is mandatory.
Certifications/Licensure
- ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
- NIHSS certification is required.
