Registered Nurse - Cardiac PCU (Nights)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with weekend rotation and holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with Cardiac PCU experience to provide high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit for cardiology patients. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing ratios of 1:5 and have at least two years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and telemetry on the unit.
• Manage pre and post cardiac catheterization patients.
• Provide care for patients experiencing congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, and other cardiac issues.
• Administer cardiovascular drips and Vasoactive drips as required.
• Oversee chest tube management and tracheostomy care.
• Utilize rapid response teams and participate in procedural sedation administration.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with Cardiac PCU experience strongly preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH stroke scale certification preferred.
• Active RN license required at the time of application.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
