Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00).

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the MS/Tele unit, you will be an integral part of a healthcare team providing high-quality patient care. The primary patient population includes Med-Tele patients, CVAs, and surgical overflow cases. You will work closely with interdisciplinary support teams such as IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry patients and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Manage and administer IV insulin protocols, blood products, and medications.
• Provide care for feeding tubes and perform bladder irrigation.
• Handle pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure treatment.
• Start, manage, and care for central and peripheral lines, including PICC lines.
• Assist in non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy care.
• Perform wound care, including using wound vacs, and manage surgical drains and chest tubes.
• Maintain adherence to isolation precautions and safety protocols.
• Utilize rapid response teams for acute patient care situations.
• Document patient care utilizing Allscripts charting system.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar unit.
• Experience with patient ratios of 4:1.
• Previous charge experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current California registered nurse license.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
