Nights, 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in this role will provide care in the ICU/PCU as well as float to MedSurg units as needed. The nurse will identify patients' needs for education and safety, ensuring proper use of equipment and infection control measures. The position requires complete and accurate documentation of patient statuses, nursing interventions, and communication with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient education using appropriate modalities.
• Ensure patient safety through preventative measures, including proper use of side rails and restraints.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation and troubleshooting of equipment in the PCU, Telemetry, and MedSurge areas.
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures, maintaining standard precautions at all times.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and responses during the shift.
• Complete physician orders in a timely manner and document charge accurately.
• Participate in shift report and communicate effectively with oncoming staff and other departments.
• Maintain and restock emergency carts and general supplies.

Required Experience

Must have experience in all areas relevant to the ICU/PCU and be willing to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed.

Certifications/Licensure

Must hold an active WA State or Multi-State RN license.
