Shift: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend required.
Job Description
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). You will be providing care for patients with a variety of critical conditions, including sepsis, respiratory issues, some cardiac cases, and trauma. The ICU consists of 14 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2. You will be using the Paragon electronic health record (EHR) system and may work with equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) on occasion.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to emergencies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding health care plans and discharge processes.
Required Experience
At least 1 year of experience in a nursing role is required, preferably in an ICU setting.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
