ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Day and Night Shift) in Palestine, Texas.

Schedule/Shift

Regular shifts include Day Shift and Night Shift. Weekly guaranteed hours are 36 hours with 6 weekend shifts scheduled within a 6-week period. No call required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical-Surgical unit at Palestine Regional Medical Center will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse adult population. The unit consists of 32 beds with patient ratios of 5:1 during the day and 6:1 at night. The care provided will cover a range of diagnoses including post-orthopedic cases, COPD, diabetes mellitus, CHF, and end-stage renal disease. The facility uses MedHost for electronic health records, and the available equipment includes Baxter Pumps.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to design and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience

A minimum of 1 year of experience on a Medical-Surgical floor is required.

Certifications/Licensure

The candidate must hold current AHA BLS certification.
