Job Description

Join our team in the Orthopedic-Neurosurgery Medical-Surgical unit at Medical City Fort Worth, which features a 30-bed capacity and a dedicated staff of 31.2 FTEs. The unit specializes in orthopedic and neurosurgical care, utilizing Meditech for electronic medical records. Ideal candidates will have experience with spine and orthopedic cases and possess strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing procedures such as total knees, total hips, laminectomies, VP shunt revisions, fusions, and ACDFs.
• Assist with patient assessments, care planning, and patient education.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and safety.
• Manage patient documentation and care coordination using Meditech.

Required Experience

• Meditech experience is a must.
• Background in spinal and orthopedic nursing is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification required.
