12 hour night shifts, working weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Neuro MedSurg unit in Morgantown, WV is an acute care setting that specializes in the treatment of patients with neurological disorders, including those recovering from strokes, seizures, and surgeries involving the spine. The unit has a capacity of 20 beds, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5-6. Nurses are expected to have robust experience in neuroscience and familiarity with electronic medical records through EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with neurological conditions, including those with Deep Brain Stimulators (DBS).
• Monitor and document patient status using EPIC.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement patient care plans.
• Ensure proper management of G-tubes and other feeding modalities.
• Participate in educational activities regarding titration protocols, if applicable.

Required Experience

• Strong neuro experience.
• Recent experience with EPIC documentation system.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required, ACLS preferred.
