ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Night Shift) in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Schedule/Shift

12-hour night shifts (7 PM to 7:30 AM); weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The 10 West unit provides care to patients receiving long-term antibiotics for various infections, including endocarditis, abscesses, septic arthritis, sepsis, osteomyelitis, and diabetic foot infections. Many patients may have underlying substance use histories, requiring compassionate and adaptable nursing care. The unit consists of 22 private rooms with a nurse-to-patient ratio varying from 1:5 to 1:6. The work environment emphasizes strong neuro experience, with a focus on managing complex behaviors related to substance use.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care to patients with infectious conditions requiring long-term antibiotic treatment.
• Monitor patients' vitals and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to adapt care plans as needed.
• Ensure compliance with protocols regarding substance use behaviors.
• Educate patients about their condition and treatment plans.

Required Experience

• Strong neuro experience is required.
• Experience working with patients exhibiting complex behaviors is highly beneficial.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification is required.
• No specific RN licensure requirements for titrating drips as this is done per physician's orders.
