ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Night Shift) in Greensboro, North Carolina.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3 shifts of 12 hours each per week, nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days required every 6 weeks. Holidays as needed, no call required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide comprehensive care to patients during emergency situations. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The unit is a Level 2 Trauma Center, treating a diverse patient population with a variety of diagnoses. The nurse will utilize EPIC for charting and benefit from support services such as IV Teams, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments, including blood product administration and IV vasopressors.
• Monitor and maintain patient vitals and respond to critical changes.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient needs during emergencies.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• Experience with trauma and a busy clinical environment.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact state).
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred.
