Schedule/Shift
3x12 hour shifts, Night Shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks, holidays as needed, no call required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Emergency Department, handling a diverse patient population with a variety of urgent and critical conditions. The unit is a Level 2 Trauma Center, and the ideal candidate will be experienced and comfortable managing a wide range of emergencies. The facility boasts a daily census with high patient turnover, operating 24/7 with continuous support from interdepartmental teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care for adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Assist in emergency procedures and interventions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the Epic system.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting is required. Previous charge nurse experience and Level 2 trauma experience are preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license in good standing.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- NIHSS certification required.
- CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred.
