Schedule/Shift

3x12-hour shifts, Days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks. Holidays as needed. No call required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will care for a diverse patient population, handling various emergency situations. The department operates as a Level 2 Trauma Center, with a focus on stroke and cardiac cases. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, and social services, and will utilize the EPIC documentation system.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications and perform procedures as needed.
• Monitor and manage critical patient conditions such as strokes and trauma cases.
• Utilize interventions for ventilation support, including BiPAP/CPAP management.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care.
• Engage in continuous collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Experience in managing a patient ratio of 4-5.
• Active RN license required at the time of submission.

Certifications/Licensure

• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred.
• EPIC experience is required.
