This position requires Night shifts, working 3x12 hours per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with at least 8 weekend shifts per contract as needed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide comprehensive patient care to a diverse population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include triage, blood product administration, management of central lines, phlebotomy, starting IVs, administration of continuous IV sedation, and managing ventilated patients. Familiarity with the EPIC charting system is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including triage and management of various conditions.
- Administer medications, including IV vasopressors and sedatives.
- Perform procedures such as phlebotomy and IV starts.
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, including arterial blood gases.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Required Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting is required. First-time travelers are welcome.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN License
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
