7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with weekend hours every other weekend and some holidays.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, including trauma and resuscitation. The unit features 21 beds, including 12 telemetry beds and specialized areas for behavioral health and fast-track services. You will be responsible for utilizing advanced medical equipment and managing a range of conditions such as COPD, DKA, sepsis, cardiac emergencies, and neurological emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and coordinate patient care.
- Utilize EHR (Cerner) for documentation and patient management.
- Monitor and interpret basic telemetry/EKG as needed.
- Engage in trauma and resuscitation protocols.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing.
- Experience with trauma and resuscitation procedures.
Certifications/Licensure
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- De-escalation training (HWC, CPI, or MAB)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) beneficial
