Schedule/Shift

Night shift: 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Med-Surg/Ortho Trauma unit will provide care for patients with severe injuries to bones, joints, soft tissues, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological trauma. This role requires floating to similar units and alternate care locations as needed. The nurse will utilize the Pyxis and EPIC systems for charting and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients with orthopedic trauma and general surgical cases.
• Monitor patient progress and actively participate in their care plans.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and care in the EPIC system.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg/Ortho/Neuro/Trauma nursing experience.
• Charge experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Current NC or Compact RN license pending acceptable for submittal.
