Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45 - 07:15). Every other weekend is required, and no call shifts are necessary.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS Tele RN) provides comprehensive nursing care for patients in a telemetry unit. The RN will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting telemetry readings while managing patient conditions related to various diagnoses, including diabetes, pneumonia, and renal failure. Charge experience is preferred, and the role requires floating to other medical surgical units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients with telemetry and manage dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and manage blood products.
• Provide pre/post operative care and manage renal patients.
• Engage in wound care and utilize advanced respiratory management techniques.
• Participate in storm and hurricane team assignments as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• NC or compact RN license required.
