Med-Surg RN - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This night shift position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing quality care to adult and geriatric patients. As a Med-Surg RN, you will play a crucial role in managing various medical and surgical conditions while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position from 18:45 to 07:15. You will be expected to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to med-surg patients, including performing assessments, administering medications, and coordinating care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC and adhere to established protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to unit-based discussions and decision-making.
• Assist in managing patient care responsibilities including IV management, wound care, and bi-level positive airway pressure (BiPAP) support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Current BLS certification required; CPI preferred.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in a med-surg environment.
• Charge nurse experience preferred for night shift travelers.
