MS/TELE RN - Inpatient Surgery Unit

This is a 12-hour night shift position from 18:45 to 07:15.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for our Inpatient Surgery Unit. In this role, you will oversee a diverse range of patients, primarily focusing on those who have undergone surgical procedures or experienced trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a patient population with surgical and medical needs.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Participate in the Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team as necessary.
• Perform appropriate assessments and interventions for patients with various diagnoses.
• Assist with special procedures and utilize specialized equipment as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Adhere to safety policies and protocols, especially during catastrophic events.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required; first-time travelers will be considered if they have relevant experience.
• Must be comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Pass EKG Testing prior to start in this specialty.
• NC or Compact RN license pending is acceptable for submission.
